Welcome to Cotopaxi Mountain Lodge

My name is Diego, I was born and raised in this beautiful place near Cotopaxi, I am an authentic native of the last town near Cotopaxi called Santa Ana del Pedregal.

My parents worked at the Cotopaxi Refuge. When I was a child, I played in the refuge. From this moment on, my passion for tourism began. My father Pedro had the idea of making a mountain hotel in this area but he couldn’t fulfill it because he died so I felt that I had the responsibility to make that dream come true, I studied and got married, I shared this beautiful dream with my wife and my 2 children. together we made my father’s idea come true, the construction was slow due to lack of financial resources, pandemic, etc. it took 5 years to build, now we are very happy to share all the things that this beautiful place offers, I am a local who knows every corner of the area, with your stay in our place you not only help us but also the local people who provide us with vegetables, potatoes, meat and milk.

We focus a lot on sustainability and taking care of the environment, that is why we want to do as little damage as possible since we have worked a lot on practices that are friendly to the soil, water and energy.
